How to play DON'T MOVE

DON'T MOVE is a party game for phones. One person holds their phone perfectly still for 25 seconds. Everyone else, on their own phones, tries to make them move. It runs in the browser: no app, no sign-up, and one link gets the whole room in.

The rules

  1. Put your thumb on the button and keep it there.
  2. An arrow tells you where to tilt. Follow it slowly and settle inside the circle.
  3. The circle shrinks as the round goes on, and the last five seconds are just about holding on.
  4. You lose if you jerk suddenly, drift out of the circle, miss a tilt in time, or lift your thumb.
  5. Last the full 25 seconds and you win: the person who set the forfeit has to do it instead.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Solo levels, today's round, endurance and rooms with friends are all free. Optional packs of extra forfeit ideas can be bought, but the game is complete without them.

Do I need to download an app?

No. It runs in your phone's browser. Open dontmove.fun and press PLAY.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The game reads the phone's motion sensor, so on an iPhone you will be asked to allow motion access the first time.

How many people can play?

One on your own, or up to 10 in a room.

Is it safe?

Play somewhere with space around you, and treat every forfeit as a suggestion rather than an instruction — skip anything that isn't safe or fun for the person it lands on. The full guidance is in the terms.

What languages is it in?

English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Indonesian, French, German, Arabic and Japanese.
